X Factor 2011: Kitty Brucknell voted off

[[Kitty Brucknell]] is the latest contestant to be voted off the X Factor.

Yesterday, Kitty and the other contestants battled it out in Lady Gaga v Queen week. The acts then faced the public vote for the fifth time this series.

After One Direction and Lady Gaga performed, Dermot, the judges and the X Factor acts took to the stage for the results.

Misha B and Kitty Brucknell were in the bottom two and had to sing for their survival.

Kitty sang Over The Rainbow, while Misha performed Who You Are by Jessie J’s

[[Louis Walsh]], who was first to vote, said: “Two incredible emotional performances from two amazing singers. I am Kitty’s mentor, so I have to save Kitty and send Misha B home.”

[[Tulisa Contostavlos]] added: “I think both of you girls are amazingly talented and that was a dramatic showdown. But I want to see the person who I can relate to as a musician, so I am sending Kitty home.”

[[Kelly Rowland]], Misha’s mentor said: “I really believe in this young lady and she needs votes, I think Kitty is a great talent but I really see a bright future in Misha so I have to send Kitty home.”

[[Gary Barlow]] had the deciding vote: “What an amazing sing off. If you were to ask me which two people want this the most it would be you two. The act I’m sending home is Kitty.”

Kitty then joined Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor for a brief interview.

As the interview was coming to a close, Lady Gaga ran onto the stage to give the evicted contestant a hug.
