TV presenter Keith Chegwin has already lost more than a stone thanks to his rigorous training for Dancing on Ice.
The 55-year-old star – most famous for his kids’ TV shows, Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, Cheggers Plays Pop and Saturday Superstore – says he can’t believe he has shed so many pounds because never before has he ever been able to shift any weight.
“For the first time ever, I can get my leg up onto the work surface in the kitchen,” says the TV presenter. “My missus definitely thinks I have toned up. I have lost over a stone and I have never done that in my life. It’s just by exercising. People will see me in a different light – but there again, I did have a lot to start with!
Keith says he did not have any qualms about giving Dancing on Ice another go after breaking his shoulder and three ribs during training last year which meant he couldn’t take part in the competition.
“Before I signed on the dotted line, I had two lessons just to make sure I felt alright. I went back on the rink and after 40 minutes, I knew I could do it. I love it and I am having such a ball.”
