BT Sport will broadcast the 2016/17 UEFA Europe League final for free for viewers in the UK.
The final – between Ajax and Manchester United – takes place in Stockholm on Wednesday 24 May 2017 with live streaming on YouTube, the BT website, and via the BT Sport app.
Ajax prevailed over Lyon in the semi-finals, while the Red Devils sneaked past Celta Vigo following a tense second leg at Old Trafford.
A place in next season’s Champions League group stage was the prize for the victors.
This is the teams fifth meeting in Europe; the past four produced two wins for each side.
The clubs first met in the 1976/77 UEFA Cup first round, when Tommy Docherty’s side overturned a 1-0 first-leg deficit through goals from Lou Macari and Sammy McIlroy at Old Trafford.
Ajax were also United’s first-ever opponents in the renamed Europa League in 2011/12, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s side claimed a 3-2 aggregate win in the Round of 32.
The build up coverage starts at 6.30pm on BT Sport 2. Kick-off 7.45pm
BT Sport Showcase is available on Freeview channel 115 and Virgin Media channel 100/548. Sky viewers will receive BT Sport 2’s SD coverage for free on channel 414/433.
