Born in Cambridge but Londoner since 19.

How did you get started in broadcasting?
Via desert islands – see my website

When was that?
When I was 18.

Why News broadcasting?
I love current affairs because it matters.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
Five News, BBC1’s On The Record, News 24, BBC South Today, UK Today

What is your Best on-air moment?
My documentary The Real Castaway.

What is your Worst on-air moment?
I’m too ashamed to admit it.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Scuba dive and cook.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Be dedicated.

Martin Popplewell is a former presenter on Sky News. Prior to joining Sky, Martin was a relief presenter at BBC News 24. Before that, he fronted the lifestyle magazine show Five News at Breakfast with Katie Ledger.
