How did you get started in broadcasting?
Producer launching the now defunct ITV News Channel about 5 years ago.

Why News broadcasting?
I love the cut and thrust of live TV, the thrill of breaking news and the sense of significance in covering events or issues that affect people’s lives.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
Viewers would have seen me in the South West reporting for BBC Spotlight. I then reported extensively for BBC Breakfast during the London bombings last summer. Since then I’ve had a short stint reporting and presenting for BBC London before taking up my new position as the South West Corr based in Plymouth for BBC News.

What is your Best on-air moment?
Breaking the news of the arrest of the first suspected failed July 21st bombers in Birmingham on Breakfast News.

What is your Worst on-air moment?
Being sick into my regulator while being filmed scuba diving for a news report.

What would you like to do before your career ends?
Cover Westminster politics as a BBC Political Correspondent.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Develop a thick skin – a career in broadcasting is as full of as many knocks as it is triumphs.
