Sky News has appointed Tom Cheshire to the new role of Technology Correspondent.
Tom will take responsibility for all the channel’s technology coverage, delivering news and analysis on television and all Sky News’ digital products.
Tom joins Sky News from Wired Magazine where he is Associate Editor. Tom has also contributed to the Observer, GQ magazine and the Evening Standard.
“We are delighted to have recruited someone as talented as Tom to this brand new role,” said Matthew Bayley, Head of Specialist Journalism.
“Technology is an increasingly important subject for our customers and we are sure that with his expertise and knowledge Tom can play a crucial role in our pursuit of original and imaginative specialist journalism.”
Tom, who joins Sky News in March, added: “I’m very excited to be joining the fantastic team at Sky News. I’m looking forward to building their technology coverage on all platforms, bringing Sky News’s characteristic rigour, pace and accessibility to the world of tech.”
