BBC/Sky News to move channel numbers on Freeview

The Freeview TV guide will be updated and expanded on Wednesday (3 September) to create extra capacity for new services.

As a result, the children and news channels will be moving to new EPG numbers.

BBC News will move from channel 80 to 130, while Sky News moves from channel 82 to 132.

You can retune your TV or digital box after mid-afternoon on Wednesday to keep your guide up to date. This only takes a few minutes and can be done with the remote control. Some equipment will retune automatically.

130 – BBC News Channel
131 – BBC Parliament
