The 2012 U.S. Election – Live on the BBC

David Dimbleby will present the BBC’s main U.S. Election 2012 programme live from Washington DC on Tuesday night.

He’ll be joined by Emily Maitlis, who will crunch every result using her large touchscreen and Jeremy Vine will look at how the night was won, how the campaign was lost and the impact this decision will have for everyone in the years ahead.

A panel of election night experts, led by BBC World News America’s Katty Kay, will provide up-to-date analysis and there will be live broadcasts from key battleground states, including Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Nevada and Colorado, as well as the very latest reaction from Obama’s Headquarters in Chicago and from the Romney campaign team in Boston.

The programme will be simulcast on BBC One, the BBC News channel and on BBC World News on Tuesday 6th November from 11:40pm to 06:00am..

Also, Jeremy Paxman will present Newsnight from Washington D.C. on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
