Sky Releases Live Football Fixtures for 2008/9

Sky Sports have today announced their first 4 months of Live Premiership Football on Sky Sports. They will include Five head-to-heads between last years top four teams and Eight major derbies.

The opening weekend kicks off on Saturday 16th August with 3 live premiership games played over the weekend.

The Managing Director of Sky Sports, Vic Wakeling said: “We think this is our best start to a season in 17 years of Premier League football on Sky.”

“We see last season’s top three on the first weekend – we see five big four head-to-heads – eight big derby matches – and, most important of all, all 20 clubs are live in the first four months of the season.”
