I feel safe where I am, but this has chilled me big time, especially with future visiting to London. I guess this was sadly waiting to happen, but the timing is scary. Whether this was timed to co-incide with the Olympic celebrations or whether it was because of the G8 it’s still scary to think that it can happen on our shores.
At this time my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of both the injured and dead.
as long as nothing else happens, we’ve got off lightly. it’s awful beyond belief for those directly involved but in the grand scheme of things.. ….there were no chemicals involved, no bio weapons. the lights are still on around the country, we’re not under threat from planes not in pilot’s control – strike jets are not about to bomb the city as we do to other capitals. there may well still be problems that have to be guarded against.. air traffic controllers could be stuck in traffic, tired – or people doing overtime making mistakes. ..who knows. if we think of what could have happened, it seems pretty light. don’t let anyone say this is our sept 11. if you think spending ?25,000,000,000 on ID cards is a bad idea, it is still a bad idea, even after this. if the capital’s 10,000 cctv cameras haven’t caught anyone creating this carnage, why not? who gains from this?
and also, which tunnel did blair use to get back to downing st? where did his chopper land? i didnt see his car go through the streets…
can get my head round these attacks 2day, what justifies such attrocities, i feel sad that humanity has left these evil people, my sincere heartfelt remorse for the families of the people who lost there lifes 2day, it seems the emergency services have done miracles 2day and i thank them. im glad mr blair left the g8 to go to london then go back 2 gleneagles that will show these vile evil people wont sour the british morale. i am british and proud. god bless the people whos bodys left us 2day however there spirits will shine for eternity.x
