Born in Plymouth, she made her third Olympic Games appearance at Rio 2016, finishing fifth with new diving partner Lois Toulson in the 10m synchro and 12th in the individual platform.
That followed a fifth-place synchro finish at London 2012 and eighth places in the platform and synchro at Beijing 2008.
She enjoyed a successful diving relationship with long-term partner Sarah Barrow with the pair winning the European title together in 2012 and silver two years later at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Following her retirement, Couch received a special recognition award at the British Diving Championships in January 2018.
She featured as a pundit on the BBC’s coverage of Paris Olympics 2024.
