Colin Paterson BBC Entertainment Correspondent

Colin Paterson – born 1974 – is Arts and Entertainment correspondent for the BBC.

He began his career as a reporter for The Big Breakfast, and in 2001 he started writing a music column for The Guardian.

He became a reporter for Liquid News in September 2001, becoming a presenter in 2002, replacing 34-year-old Christopher Price who died of meningoencephalitis.

In 2011, Paterson relocated to the BBC’s new centre at MediaCityUK in Salford, near Manchester and was the first BBC reporter to broadcast from the scene of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack on 22 May 2017.
