At 6pm this evening, Sky News will be 24 years old!

The 24 hour news channel launched on Sunday 5th February 1989.

Penny Smith and Alastair Yates presented the first bulletin, followed an hour later by Bob Friend and Kay Burley.

Sky News has posted a video of the stories and events, as well as some of the changing faces, which has made the channel what it is today.
