Andrew Wilson, Lorna Dunkley, Samantha Simmonds to leave Sky News

Sky News Sky News at With Andrew Wilson

Presenters Andrew Wilson, Lorna Dunkley and Samantha Simmonds are to leave Sky News, according to reports.

The Guardian says Wilson informed colleagues in an email early last week saying that among “lots of reasons” for leaving, the move to a new Sky News studio meant that “if ever there were a moment to part with an organisation with which I share so much history, this is it.”

Head of Sky News John Ryley emailed staff about Dunkley and Simmonds departures but gave no reason for their leaving. However, the departures are thought to be part of a cost-saving drive.

It was announced back in May that head of content John McAndrew would be leaving Sky News after more than a decade. McAndrew was number three at Sky News, reporting to Ryley and Graham McWilliam.
