Six Nations 2017 – Week Three – Live TV Coverage on BBC, ITV

Six Nations 2017 continues this weekend as the third round of fixtures take place.

The three matches will be shown on the BBC and ITV with Italy’s visit to England on Sunday afternoon airing on ITV.

But the weekend’s action gets underway with Scotland v Wales on Saturday afternoon.

Vern Cotter’s Scots will be hoping to end their dismal run of nine straight losses at the hands of the Welsh. After suffering a record 51-3 drubbing in Cardiff three years ago, Scotland have lost their last two meetings with Wales by the much smaller margins of three and four points respectively.

Both teams narrowly lost a fortnight ago to France and England respectively and defeat here would almost certainly end any lingering title hopes.

Coverage starts at 2.00pm on BBC One and BBC One HD, where John Inverdale presents. Match commentary comes from Eddie Butler, Martyn Williams and Chris Paterson.

Kick-off 2.25pm

Ireland take on France in the second fixture on Saturday evening.

Both nations enter this clash having lost their opening match of the tournament, but then winning their second, and will be keen to register a victory here to ensure they remain in contention for the title.

Having lost a close encounter away to Scotland in round one, Ireland followed that up with a comfortable 63-10 away to Italy, whereas France were beaten by England at Twickenham in their first outing, but triumphed 22-16 over Scotland last time out.

Mark Pougatch will be joined live on ITV and ITV HD from 4.15pm by Brian O’Driscoll, Jonny Wilkinson and Gareth Thomas.

Pitchside analysis comes from Olivier Magne, Shane Williams and Gabriel Clarke, while commentary is provided by Miles Harrison, Gordon D’Arcy and Ben Kay.

Kick-off 4.50pm

The final fixture of the weekend takes place on Sunday afternoon as England welcomes Italy to Twickenham.

Despite struggling to find their best form so far in this year’s tournament, England remain the dominant force having won both of their opening encounters at home to France and away to Wales, thus extending their unbeaten run under Eddie Jones to 16 matches.

They will be favourites to extend that sequence to 17 games as they face an Italian outfit that has suffered two heavy losses so far, having been on the end of a 33-7 defeat to Wales, and then a 63-10 drubbing against Ireland.

Coverage begins at 2.00pm on ITV and ITV HD, where Mark Pougatch will be joined live in the studio by Jonny Wilkinson, Clive Woodward and Lawrence Dallaglio.

Pitchside analysis comes from Martin Bayfield, Maggie Alphonsi and Mirco Bergamasco, while match commentary comes from Nick Mullins, David Flatman and Ugo Monye.
