Wales v Ireland – Live Six Nations 2017 on BBC TV

Wales host Ireland in the fourth and penultimate match of Six Nations 2017 this evening.

The match, held at the Principality Stadium, will be shown exclusively live on BBC One.

Ireland kept alive their chances of winning the title with a hard-fought victory against France in their last match, while Wales have little more than pride to play for having lost to Scotland and England already during this campaign.

The sides shared the spoils in a 16-16 draw when they met at the Aviva Stadium last year, with Wales staging an impressive fightback after Ireland had raced into a 13-0 lead after 28 minutes.

Ireland have an excellent record in the Welsh capital, and have won seven of the last 10 encounters dating back to 2001, including a 35-21 victory here in August 2015 when both teams were preparing for the Rugby World Cup.

John Inverdale will be join on BBC One from 7.30pm by Keith Wood, Martyn Williams and Jeremy Guscott. Kick-off 8.00pm.

ITV will broadcast the other two fixtures on Saturday afternoon starting with Italy v France (1.30pm). This will be followed by Scotland’s visit to England (4.00pm).
