Where are you from?
Somerset originally, then London. Now village north of Oxford with wife and three children.

How did you get started in broadcasting?
Via Fleet Street.

When was that?
1993.

Why News broadcasting?
Challenging, fun, stimulating, immediate after years as newspaper correspondent.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
ITV presenter, ITV correspondent, writer / presenter documentaries (ITV, Four, Five), occasional TV / film appearances incl Sex Traffic, State of Play, Clueless and 102 Dalmations.

What is your Best on-air moment?
Not sure if it’s happened yet

What is your Worst on-air moment?
Too many to list.

What would you like to do before your career ends?
Front an Alan Whicker style documentary series.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Travel to Spain (where I lived and worked as a student), play squash, go for long walks, play the trumpet, and drink sherry with friends.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Get a strong news background and go for it. Shrug off any knockbacks.
