Decided to be a journalist afer playing Waddington’s Scoop aged 12.
Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
I was a reporter at IRN from 1983 – 86. I joined the BBC in 1986 on London Plus, moved to Breakfast Time (later Breakfast News), then to Newsnight before being one of the team of reporters on Here and Now on BBC1. In 1996 I was appointed Political Editor at Channel Five, then Home and Social Affairs Editor at Channel 4 in 1999 until moving back to the BBC in 2004.

An early morning bulletin at Radio Victory in which everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.
What would you like to do before your career ends?
Break lots of stories.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spend time with my family.
What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Do whatever it takes to get experience.
