How did you get started in broadcasting?
As a reporter for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. Ended up working in the Balkans, across Central Europe and some of the Middle East – and got hooked.

When was that?
Started in 1996.

Why News broadcasting?
Always learning, always travelling, always facing new challenges.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
BBC TV, Radio and BBC NewsOnline, Austrian Radio and TV and the German TV Channel, Deutsche Welle

What is your Best/Worst on-air moment?
Trying to interview the then-Bulgarian Foreign Minister on a rainy roof-top in Athens, while he insisted on standing (fully-clothed) inside an empty swimmingpool to shield himself from the howling wind.

What would you like to do before your career ends?
I hope it doesn’t.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Swimming, skiing, walking, cooking, going to the cinema, good exhibitions and round to friends’ for dinner.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Know that you REALLY want it. Then go for it
