Welcome to TV Newsroom’s Mystery Voices..

Many would have heard a similar thing played on commercial radios across the country featuring well know celebrity voices.. We’ve captured presenters and correspondents saying the name of their channel and mixed it into one phrase..

So, can you identify who the three mystery voices are?

Package – a series of clips linked together by a reporter.

DA, PA – director assistant, production assistant – Is responsible for monitoring timing of each segment and the whole bulletin.

Straps – a blocked strip at the bottom of the screen, in which text is placed and easily read.

DOG – digitally originated graphic – a small stationary logo used to identify the channel, shown in one corner of a screen.

DTL – Down the line – An interview carried out over a phone line.

Ticker – A scrolling band on the bottom of the TV screen which delivers constantly-updated headlines.

Two-Way – The presenter questions a correspondent about a story they have been following.

IFB, Earpiece – interruptible fold back – a news presenter uses to hear sounds from the gallery.

LVO – live voiceover – the presenter will talk live over the video.

VT – videotape – tape on which pictures and sound can be recorded. Not use as much now..
