Gavin Esler: Biography and Images

Gavin Esler is one of the main presenters of Newsnight.

Gavin is also a presenter of the BBC World arts and culture programme Hardtalk Extra, plus Dateline London, also on BBC World, and the foreign affairs series Four Corners on BBC Radio Four.

Gavin joined the Newsnight team in 2003 from BBC News 24 where he was one of the channels main presenters from its launch. He also reported for news and documentary programmes across Europe, Russia, China and North and South America.

Prior to this, Gavin was also a Washington Correspondent.
