Prime News is a local news service produced by Prime Television, the Seven Network's regional affiliate in regional Victoria and New South Wales. Half hour weeknightly bulletins are produced for Prime's original pre-aggregation stations in Albury, Wagga, Dubbo and Tamworth. Other bulletins, for regions including Canberra, the Gold Coast, Newcastle

and Wollongong, were axed in 2001 due to falling ratings and competition with incumbent stations such as WIN Television and NBN. In these areas two-minute 'noodle' updates produced at the network's headquarters in Canberra are shown throughout the day in order to fulfil government local content requirements.
