The Premier League Champions and the UEFA Champions League winners are in action today as the first Sky Sports Super Sunday of the season hits the airwaves.
Up first, Chelsea travel to the DW Stadium to take on Wigan Athletic.
The Latics produced a fine run of form towards the end of last term to avoid relegation, while Chelsea won the FA Cup and Champions League but have spent big this summer in a bid to avoid a repeat of last season’s disappointing sixth-place finish in the league.
Chelsea have won 11 and lost just one of 14 Premier League meetings with Wigan.
The Blues enjoyed their joint-biggest win away from home in Premier League history when they won 6-0 at Wigan in August 2010.
But, Wigan have lost just one of their last eight Premier League games at the DW Stadium and won the last four in a row.
The build up begins at 1pm on Sky Sports 1, Kick-off is at 1.30pm. The match will also broadcast in Sky 3D.
