Channel 4 will broadcast National Football League (NFL) action tonight as the reigning Super Bowl Champions the New York Giants visit Lincoln Financial Field to face the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eli Manning’s Giants came good at exactly the right moment last season, saving their best displays for the play-offs, but their 9-7 regular season record was the worst of any Super Bowl winners and an opening day loss to Dallas suggests that the defence of their title won’t be plain sailing.

The Eagles cursed themselves last season with the Dream Team moniker, so Michael Vick and Co have kept quiet so far this time around.

Vick’s main problem may be staying healthy again, as the scrambling QB presents himself as a moving target to opposition defenses.

The NFC East looks stacked with potential play-off contenders, so this meeting of division rivals is certain to be hard-fought.
