Sky News has appointed Mark Kleinman from the Sunday Telegraph, to the newly created role of City Editor.

In addition to his Sky News role, Mark will also be writing a weekly business column for The Times.

Speaking of his appointment, Mark Kleinman said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Sky News, and am looking forward to contributing to the channel’s excellent business coverage.”

Head of Sky News, John Ryley said: “Business news has been the biggest continuous story over the last 18 months or more. The public’s ever increasing appetite for business news means we need to improve our ability to deliver original journalism, world-class analysis and the biggest interviews. Mark will help us achieve these goals.”

Mark will be joining Sky News in the autumn.
