The Monday Night Football returns tonight as Manchester United travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
All eyes will be on Robin van Persie when he takes to the turf for the first time as a Manchester United player.
The Dutch striker and former Arsenal captain moved from north London to Old Trafford to the surprise of many football fans. He and United will hope to claim all three points available as they aim to get their bid to regain the title from rivals Manchester City off to the perfect start.
The Toffees will be determined not to suffer another poor start to the season.
“Every year it is the same story with Everton,” said midfielder Steven Pienaar. “The players tend to wake up in the second half of the season.”
The two clubs have met on 187 occasions, United winning 81 times to Everton’s 64 victories.
Everton have won just two of the past 10 Premier League matches at Goodison Park between the two teams.
