Sky Sports will broadcast live UEFA Champions League action this evening, as the first round of group games continue.

Celtic face Benfica at Celtic Park in the opening fixture of Group G.

The Bhoys face a tough task if they are to reach the knockout stages, with Barcelona and Spartak Moscow also in this group, and they face a Benfica side that reached the quarter-finals last season.

Celtic’s best Champions League performance is a last 16 finish in 2006/07 and 2007/08.

Benfica have won the European Cup/Champions League on two occasions, in 1961 and 1962. Only Bayern Munich and Juventus have lost as many finals as the Lisbon side, 5.

The build up to this match begins at 7.30pm on Sky Sports 3, kick-off 7.45pm
