
The first televised game of the 2012/13 Capital One cup takes place tonight as Sheffield Wednesday meet Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.
Wednesday have the momentum coming into the tie, having gained promotion last season, and are unbeaten in six matches against Oldham.
It was one-way traffic in the only previous League Cup clash between these clubs. The Owls clocked up an 8-2 aggregate second round victory in September 2000.
Exactly 150 goals have been on display in the 51 competitive meetings over 112 years between the two clubs, who were in the Premier league together between 1992 and 1994.
The match will broadcast live on Sky Sports 1 from 7.30pm, kick-off 7.45pm.
The League Cup, formerly known as the Carling Cup, has been renamed to the Capital One Cup for the 2012/13 to 2016/17 seasons. The final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 24 February 2013.
