Former ITV News presenter Salma Siraj has died.
Salma was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer in early 2021.
Her husband said: “Treatment had appeared to go well and although there had been a few complications there was nothing to suggest the rapid rate of spread that took hold in the last few weeks of her life.”
Salma spent over 9 years at ITN, where she worked as a presenter on London News for GMTV, for London Tonight and as a reporter for the London region.
More recently, Salma was a subtitle creator at Red Bee Media.
A Just Giving page has been set up in Salma’s honour to support the cancer charity ‘Shine Cancer Support’
As of posting this, 32 donations have been made totally £1,500.
Our thoughts are with Salma’s family and friends.
