I’m watching aswell as capturing ITV Regions for the website, and i’ve noticed after the top story on the Westcountry News at 11:15am, they go to more local news from a different newsroom. how many outputs are there in the Westcountry? and which output plays out on Sky Digital via the other channels section?
I’m aiming for a Late November launch of the ITV News Regions on TV Newsroom.
Bumper of Main Program, followed by main presenter.
then bumper of local news, followed by local news presenter.
IIRC I posted that just a few days before the announcement that ITV News and its regions are going widescreen in early December. So i decided to wait until then, probably looking at end of the year now/earlier ’08.
Westcountry do have the current set of titles and astons.
And to answer the original question, there are four outputs from the four news sub-regions. The West (most of Cornwall) is output from a studio in Truro. The North (North Devon mostly) is output from a studio in Barnstaple. The East (Somerset and Dorset) is output from a studio in Exeter, and the South is output from Plymouth. Incidentally, the South’s sub-regional studio is the old CSO studio that used to be used for all short bulletins.
