Sky News and Sky Sports launch on Snapchat Discover

Sky News and Sky Sports have launched on Snapchat Discover to provide news and sport to millions of young people in the UK and Ireland.

The two channels will publish an edition each afternoon featuring 6-10 distinctive ‘snaps’, using a combination of images, video and text. Snapchat users will also have the option to view a long form articles and videos.

Snapchatters who updated their app following the initial Discover launch on 27th January will find Sky News and Sky Sports automatically. Others will need to update their app.

Whether that’s reporting on Daley Blind’s last minute equaliser at West Ham to analysis ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup we are really excited to be one of Snapchat’s first UK-specific partners as people look for new and innovative ways to keep up with what’s happened that day.”

Both Sky News and Sky Sports have extensive reach in digital media across various platforms, including the Sky News and Sky Sports apps and a presence across various social media channels.
