A full set of new graphics with brand new titles, wipes and stings, in particular a new news sting.

A New studio but a familiar feel to it with the red sofa and backdrop but a new red sofa and new London based backdrop.

The music will remain the same for the time being.

Programmes names have been dropped except for Lorraine Kelly. So it’ll be ‘GMTV’ between 6 & 8.30 and ‘GMTV With Lorraine’ from 8.30 - 9.25.

Lorraine will present from the main sofa area; thus the whole programme will come from the main red sofa.

GMTV News will have a new dedicated set, it won’t be chromakeyed anymore.

New weather graphics too.

Emma Crosby’s first show is Thursday, Kirsty McCabe’s first show will be a week Monday.

The current set is being removed after Friday morning’s programme.

Here’s what we’ve found so far.

I saw a workman (a guy in a fluorescent jacket at least) moving boards from the back of the studio.

There are rumours on some TV based forums, suggesting that studio changes are coming to the Sky News Centre. Could they be coming very soon?

Or maybe this is the new presenting location for the newswheel. If so, I like it.

10PM EDIT: Steve Dixon is presenting from the main desk - all PC’s removed from behind the desk.

The broadcast will playout on Sky Arts HD (EPG 258) from 5pm. The SD version can be seen on Sky News, Sky Arts 1 and Sky Arts 2.

The coverage will be presented by Jeremy Thompson and Adam Boulton.

Scott was reportedly lined up to cover for Natasha Kaplinsky while she was on Maternity leave, but was subsequently overlook. Matt Barbet and Isla Traquair were announced as replacements in June.

Adam Boulton will be in America for the first 100 days of Barrack Obama’s presidency. He’ll be working alongside Michelle Clifford and Robert Nisbet and will provide analysis on major political stories out of the U.S.

Boulton said: “Barack Obama’s election is already historic and his Presidency will mark one of the great periods of change of our time. I’m really looking forward to this chance to take a ‘busman’s holiday’ from Westminster and cover developments in the US along with our award-winning foreign affairs team.”

MR Motivator is returning to GMTV!

The 56-year-old Jamaican exercise instructor will make his return in January.

In a release, GMTV said: “GMTV will see families pledge their support to the campaign to get fitter and healthier in 2009. With customised on-air and online plans to improve nutrition, fitness and overall health.”

Mr Motivator, DR. Hilary Jones and nutritionist Amanda Ursell will travel around the UK and visit viewers who are in need of help, encouragement and motivation to get their health and fitness back.

Mr. Motivator said: “I am very excited to be coming back to GMTV to get the nation fit and motivated in 2009. Although I’ve been away, I have still continued on my mission of highlighting the wonderful benefits that can be derived from employing a healthy lifestyle. Britain has got fat together, now it’s time to get fit together.”

Tyne Tees TV presenters, Jonathan Morrell and Philippa Tomson are the latest ITV Regional Presenters to be axed.

Morrell and Tomson, North East Tonight presenters, will present their last bulletin in February.

Pam Royle and Ian Payne will present the main evening bulletin, which will cover the whole of the current North East, and Scottish border region.

Morell has fronted North East Tonight since taking over from Mike Neville who left due to ill health in 2005. Philippa joined Jonathan in the Autumn of 2006.

All presenters were asked to re-apply for their jobs and were subsequently interviewed.

ITV is cutting the number of regional news outputs in England and the Scottish borders from 17 to 9.

3. Yorkshire - replacing Yorkshire (North and South) and part of the current Central East region.

4. Wales - No change.

5. Central - Central South, and the remaining part of the Central East region merging.

6. Anglia - both East and West merging. (Presenters: Becky Jago and Jonathan Wills)

7. South West - Merging the West and Westcountry.

8. Meridian - Merging Meridian East, Meridian South and Thames Valley regions.

9. London - No change.
