BBC News Strike July 2011
BBC journalists today, Friday 15th July, walked out in a row over compulsory redundancies. The 24 hour strike affected news on radio, television and online.
The BBC journalists previously went on strike in November 2010 in a row over pensions.
12am: Maxine Croxall’s 11pm broadcast is replayed
1am – 5am: Sharanjit Leyl presents from Singapore (2am and 4am were replays of the previous hour)
5am: Martine Dennis
6am: Gavin Grey presents BBC Breakfast from N6
Sam Washington presents the Business News from 6am
9:30am – 1pm: Sue Thearle joins Gavin Grey
1pm: ‘The One’ with Gavin Grey.. Gavin continued through to 3pm
3pm – 9pm, including The Six and The Ten: Chris Rogers
9pm and 11pm: World News America with Jane O’Brien
9:30pm and 10:30pm: Adam Pearsons
